A little bit about--well, to be honest, I'm not sure

Friday, October 30, 2009

I'd like to thank everyone for doing the poll. Spending Christmas with family won--although someone did say they would rather have a cell phone with limitless calls (they claim that they'd still like their family).
I've been thinking about my play, "Two Little Boys" lately and now realize that it isn't the Shakespeare-like wonder I thought it was--it's flat. It has no life to it. The characters are just speaking words that seem to have no meaning. So, I decided to make some (major) alterations.
I plan to make the storyline more exciting and try to make the characters more life like, instead of puppets--puppets that aren't very exciting. Why or how I ever thought that the play was good I'll never know. I think that this happens to every writer though--when they're still amateurs, like me. They write something and think that it's the best thing they've ever written and ever will write. Then, a while after, they read through it, think it over, and then realize that it's not good at all. But whatever you do, don't give up. You can always "rebuild" your book and try to make it the dream that you thought it was.
I've been thinking of whether or not to keep "Two Little Boys" a play, though. Maybe I should turn it into a book and then sometime, if it so suites me, and can take the book and then reshape the play, based on the book, which was originally based on the play (did I lose anyone there? I lost myself. I think I better read that again so I can follow me) :)
Well, I better get going. My stomach's telling me to eat, and I don't want to disobey it.

P.S.
I've GOT to tell you about a book that I just read--it's really good!

Randomly speaking-again

Saturday, October 24, 2009

Hey, everyone! What's happ'nin'? It's really wet here at home. Our neighbors yard is flooding into ours.
Well, what I'd like to tell you about now is Hoops and Yoyo. Maybe you've already heard about them. They're these really FUNNY little characters. You can search them on YouTube. Two really funny videos are "It's Monday"--which is good if you've just had a bad day--my mom was laughing so hard that she was crying--and another good one is "You're cute". Whenever I watch it I think of Londan. I laughed a lot when I saw "You're cute".
Well, I guess I might go write something. By the way, my BFF Morgan and I just started a blog for our neighborhood band and we're so excited! We plan on putting Morgan's songs on there.
Got 2 go!

Whassup? (Part 2))

Thursday, October 22, 2009

Just kidding! I know that I sounded a little harsh, at the end of that post, but I was just trying to make you people laugh (and have probably not succeeded)
(And my mom is NOT making me say this. I was actually smart enough to come up with it myself!)
Hey, I'll be blogging later, hopefully. Bye!
Phillie's 4ever!

Whassup? (Part 1)

So, what's new with y'all? How are you guys doin'? (Yes, Aunt Kim, I know that I'm not using proper grammar, but from where I come from it *don't* matter)
Right now, I'm in the room where a taped baseball game is being watched--I hope my team wins the World Series again!
My mom's shingles are better, and there's not much more to say about that.
I just found out that I'm going to be in the Christmas Cantata at our church! I get to play a college student named Steph who--how does the script describe her? Oh yes,-- is "warm and empathetic". Hopefully I won't forget my lines, or trip, or get stage fright, or--oh my, think of all the horrible possibilities! (Did I make someone laugh? Oh, I hope I did. If I didn't will someone just sarcastically laugh?--ha ha ha?--anything?)

Well, I'd love to put my pictures from camping on here, but I can't get them onto the computer 'cause I don't have the software. Sometimes I wish that I could pull this computer out of the wall and throw it out the window (the one over-looking the ditch. It would smash better there, and I want a smash). But, I know that if I would do that, I'd probably hate myself afterwards and it's very hard to go on with your life if you hate yourself (sorry, I can't say it from experience, so I can't exactly tell you what it's like)
Hey, before I go, my BFF Morgan is a really awesome songwriter and if any of you are interested in her songwriting, just let me know.
See ya later!

P.S. I apologize that I say things randomly. Just ask any of my friends--I do it all the time (I'm sure you'll say something about this, Andrea). But, it's your problem, not mine, so deal with it ;)

Goin' Campin'!

Thursday, October 8, 2009

This weekend is going to be sooo fun! I'm camping with my family. We couldn't get my cousin Jacob to come, but we should still be able to have some fun with some friends that are coming up Sat. But something that is going to put a wet towel on the weekend is my bike. The chain clicks, and the brakes--wait a second--I forgot, there practically are no brakes. What brakes I do have squeak and are so annoying--I'm almost sure everyone in the campground is saying "what is that pitiful screeching sound?". Really, I can't bare it.
(I guess that I should be thankful, though. At least I have a bike.)
Then of course there's the food! Oh, the wonderful food! Cookies, cakes, pies, things that you eat none stop and give you stomach aches, but you don't care--left and right! It's heavenly, it really is.
And I can't forget capture the flag. That's the only thing that us kids do, really. Every now and then we'll take a rest and play a game. Maybe we'll go to the creek--my favorite spot--once; we don't usually go there in the fall, though. If you would fall in accidentally, (or some one helps you fall in) you'd freeze to death.
Then, one of the main things that I've been looking forward too, is Londan. My first-cousin-once-removed. Cousin, for short. Jackie and Jim bought a camper so they'll be there all weekend. I'm so excited! Maybe I'll get to hold the adorable little Londan, who is the attention grabber of the family--one of the only things that we talk about.
Dutch Blitz--I can't put that in the game category because it's a tradition. I play it with my cousins and aunts. It's so fun!--maybe even the part where we have to wait on someone to set their cards up. I won't tell who, though.
Of course, there's sooo much more to write about but I want to go read. And I have to get a shower. But I must make time to just say this: The view up there, is one of the most beautiful, picturesque views on earth--in the fall, at least. All those golds, and oranges, and reds, and purples. It's so beautiful that it hurts; words can't describe it; I might as well stop there.
Well, now that I've exhausted myself and bored you to death, I'm going to go get my shower. See ya when I get back from camping with pictures to show and--my favorite part--stories to tell.

"Osama (yo mama)" is a must see!

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

My whole family is getting ready for camping, but I'd be content just to work on my blog (it counts as school, too, so I'm actually killing two birds with one stone.)
I'm planning on watching a movie and writing a little bit tonight, so I'm only going to say one thing, and that's this: even though youtube can be really dangerous, I am going to recommend that you visit http://www.youtube.com/ and look up Ray Stevens. He's got a lot of funny songs, but one that is a must see is "Osama (yo mama)". I think that you'll like it. "The new battle of New Orleans" is funny, too. This is a funny guy, and--thinking that you have a good sense of humor--I think that you'll like it. If you don't, then you'll know one of two things: You have a bad sense of humor, or I have a bad sense of humor--I hope it's you! :).

Half birthday and the shingles

Monday, October 5, 2009

Today is my half b-day, and I am now officially thirteen and a half. I've been sort of celebrating it in my own way. I just found out that my mom has the shingles, so she has to stay away from people who haven't had the chickenpox or the chickenpox vaccine. And we're going camping, so I'm going to have to do most of the work--like cleaning and cooking, cuz the doctor says my mom needs rest. (sigh) Oh, well...

Post Updates

I've been thinking about setting my blog up so that when I set up a new post, everyone that follows or visits my blog will get an e-mail. I don't want to annoy anyone though, so if you want an e-mail, just say so by commenting on this post. I totally understand if you don't want me e-mailing you whenever I post. Thanks for reading!
